Description
ROMANO-BRITISH POTTERY FOUND BY TOM CLARK WHILST METAL-DETECTING AND CARRYING OUT MINI-EXCAVATIONS AT UPTON IN 1994-5. FINDS INCLUDE 3 RB RIMS (1 OF OXFORD MORTARIUM); 14 RB SHERDS; 1 RB BASE; AND 1 BELGIC BRICK. POTTERY MOSTLY COLLECTED FROM AREA AROUND NGR. DONATED TO BCM (B8).
Aerial photographs taken in 1996 reveal additional earthworks (B13).
