Description

1 ARM OF A COPPER ALLOY PURSE BAR. THE FAINTLY VISIBLE X DECORATION IS REGARDED AS TALISMANIC. THE PURSE BAG WOULD HAVE HUNG FROM THE EYELET HOLES. LATE C15/EARLY C16 AD (B6).
Aerial photographs taken in 1996 reveal additional earthworks (B13).
