SMALL HOOD ON CUT BRACKETS OVER THE WHOLE LENGTH OF THE GROUND FLOOR (B1).
No. 4: Surviving part of the formerly longer streets front range added to the pre-existitng Block R (West bays of No.3, east bays of No.4). Dendrochronology suggesting a construction date if c. 1555. Some evidence to tentatively suggest that the floor has been inserted. This is partly of interest due to the possibilty that this bay was originally a hall which was open from ground floor to the roof. To the rear is a two storey timber framed wing. Dendrochronology dating its construction to c. 1569. (B2)
No.5: Evidence of the roof appears to confirm that this was a 3-bay building frim its original construction and nothing to suggest that it continued in either direction. The roof would have incorporated an attic floor fom its orignal construction. To the rear a brick structure probably constructed late 18th or early 19th century.(B2)
