Historic building recording carried out in February 2009 by Forum Heritage Services characterised the barn as a four-bay threshing barn, with a gabled porch to the SE and lean-to extension on the NE elevation. Constructed in the later 18th century or early 19th century with re-used timbers from several sources, much of the timber framing was later replaced in brick. See report for detail (B2).
