Description

Grade II. House, formerly school and schoolmaster's house, at one time a reading room. Mid C19. Knapped flint, red and blue brick dressings, flush first floor band of yellow and blue brick, dentil eaves. Hipped tile roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Left bay, originally school-room, has 2 pointed arched windows to ground floor, each with paired wooden casement and traceried top lights. Round window to first floor. Remainder of house double-fronted with segmental-headed sashes flanking flush-panelled door in gabled timber porch. Left side part rebuilt, with C20 sashes. C20 flint and brick extensions to rear. Included for group value (B1).
