Description
Grade II. House. Probably C16, with cross wing rebuilt C17, altered C19. Left side has frame of irregular timbers with one curved brace and whitewashed brick infill; remainder rebuilt in brick, part rendered and whitewashed, the left gable hung with shingles. Old tile roof to right bay, re-tiled cross wing. Brick chimneys to right and to left side of crosswing. Lower bay to right, possibly once a hall, now of one storey and an attic; 2-storey projecting gabled cross wing to left with C20 rear extension. Paired barred wooden casements, that to right attic in small gabled dormer. Board door to left of right bay. Interior: right bay has inserted upper floor, and remains of substantial queen strut truss; left bay also has slight later floor timbers; between bays is pointed timber arch, chamfered on the right side, incorporated into wall of cross wing but of earlier origin (B1).
