Description
Grade II. Two houses. Mid-late C18, incorporating remains of C17 structure, altered. Flint with brick dressings and narrow first floor band-course. Dentil eaves to left bay. Old tile roofs, rebuilt brick chimneys to gables. Gabled bay to centre has external chimney with 2 rebuilt diagonal shafts. One storey and an attic, 3 bays. Irregular barred wooden casements, those to ground floor left with segmental heads. Upper windows of outer bays are in eaves-line dormers, the left with flat roof, the right gabled. 6-panelled door between left bays, with reeded wooden doorcase and flat wooden hood. Right bay has small C20 brick projection with half-glazed door and 3-light metal casement. Interior: very slight timber framing in internal walls; wooden fireplace lintels with segmentally arched soffits to left and centre. RCHM I p. 186 Mon.4 (B1).
