Description

Grade II. Two houses. The Yard, to left, is early C19, possibly a remodelling of an older building; Yard Cottage, to right, is dated 1799 on brick. Flint with brick dressings, The Yard with cogged eaves. Old tile roofs, brick chimneys. The Yard is of one storey and an attic, and 2 bays. C20 sash to left; 2 paired wooden casements in steeply pitched half- timbered gables; half-glazed door to right. Ground floor openings have bonded brick surrounds. Yard Cottage is of 1½ storeys, with 2 bays of C20 leaded casements, 3-light to ground floor, 2-light in gabled semi-dormers. Central C20 door. Included for group value (B1).
