Description
Grade II. Four cottages. C16-early C17 wing to right, with gable rebuilt and left bays added early-mid C18. Right side and rear gable of right wing are timber-framed with rendered infill, the front bay with an angle brace. Front is of red and vitreous brick with coved plaster eaves. Flint and brick to left gable and rear. Old tile roofs, C19 brick chimneys. L-plan. 2 storeys, the later bays also with an attic storey. Front is irregular with gabled bay to right. Ground floor has 6 cross windows with C19 wooden casements, most formerly doorways, one in blocked semi-circular arch to right of centre. First floor has 2 similar windows, 2 windows with altered glazing, one narrow sash, and other blocked openings. 3 gabled dormers with paired wooden casements. 3 C20 board doors with segmental heads, 2 with C19 stop-chamfered frames. Right gable has series of projecting brick ledges. Right side has slightly jettied upper storey and 2 bays. Irregular wooden casements to ground floor, the right bay with 2-light wooden casement in old frame, and old board door; 2 old paired leaded casements and one paired wooden casement to upper storey.
