Shop front the entire Ground floor. Rough cast. Moulded eaves cornice. Centre gable with a round plaque stating "Est 1820". (This probably refers to a business rather than the earliest date of the building itself). Old tile roof and one chimney stack in brick, originally probably of No 16. Nos 4 to 32 (even) form a group (B1).
Formerly the premises of Batting and Sons, high class ironmongers, sanitary and general engineers and makers of agricultural machinery at Maidenhead and Marlow [business established 1820](B2).
