Description

Grade II. Originally one house. C17 altered. 2 storeys and attic. Pebble dashed upper part with 3 gables, central with dragon finial, others with pierced obelisk type, all terra cotta. Old tile roof. 3 bay front with plain C19 and modern shops on ground floor. Nos 4 to 32 (even) form a group (B1).
In 1943 the shops were occupied by Fred Todd, tailor [No. 12], Mrs East, china-dealer [No.10], and Christopher East, cobbler [No.8]. In the early 1900s the shop at No.12 was selling fencing, rustic trellis-work and baskets (B2).
