Description
Grade II. Doctors' surgery, formerly inn. Late C18, incorporating traces of C17 structure, altered C20. Vitreous header brick with red brick quoins and window surrounds. Left bays also have red brick walls below ground floor sill level. Off-set eaves, old tile roofs. 2 storeys, 5 bays. Right bay has taller storeys, shallower hipped roof, and leaded cross casements, that to ground floor with 3 lights and segmental head. 4 bays to left each have 3-light leaded casement to first floor and one to centre of ground floor, all with segmental heads Ground floor left window altered to contain single light and C20 door. Fourth bay has segmental arch, formerly over carriage entry, now with C20 doors and early C20 arched wooden screen. Central ground floor room has good stop-chamfered spine beam (B1).
