Description

Grade II. House. C17, altered late C18-early C19 and C20. Right side has some timber framing with brick infill to ground floor and whitewashed roughcast to upper storey. Front gable rebuilt in early C19 red and vitreous chequer brick with upper part tile-hung. Far bay is of flint with brick dressings, probably added late C18-early C19. Thatched roof, half-hipped to front. Brick chimneys. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Right side has blank bay to left, and old 3 and 4-light leaded windows to remainder. Half-glazed door between left bays. Circa 1920-30 staircase projection of flint and brick with tiled roof between right bays. Weatherboard lean-to to right. C20 3-light leaded casements to front gable. Rear has small lean-to of whitewashed weatherboard, and C20 2-storey wing incorporating re-used timbers. Included for group value (B1).
