Description

Grade II. House. C17 altered early C19. Rebuilt in red and vitreous brick; half-hipped thatch roof; central chimney with 2 separate square brick shafts sharing single off-set head. 1½ storeys, 2 bays. Front has 3-light barred wooden casement and door to ground floor left, C20 canted bay window with leaded lights and thatch roof to right, and 2 paired barred wooden casements in thatch. One window with chequered segmental head to rear. Small C20 extension to rear of left bay. Stop-chamfered spine beams, 2 winder staircases, queen strut trusses. Right bay has some stop-chamfered joists, upstairs fireplace and curved wind-braces. RCHM I p.206 Mon. 3 (Rectory Farm)(B1).
