Description

Grade II. 3 small houses. 3 late C17-early C18 bays with c.1800 bay to left and early C19 projection to front. Original part has timber frame with brick infill to rear but is rebuilt in brick to front. Left bay is of flint with brick dressings. Projection is of vitreous headers with red brick dressings, off-set eaves and hipped roofs. Old tile roofs, brick chimney, between original left bays. Rear range is of one storey and an attic, projection of 2 storeys. Irregular barred wooden casements,those to first floor of rear range in gabled eaves-line dormers. Upper window of left bay is a horizontal-sliding sash. Left bay has top-lit flush-panelled door with concrete hood; third bay has old board door. 6-panelled door to projection has moulded architrave frame, panelled pilasters and moulded cornice hood with panelled soffit on shaped brackets. Blind window above. Small outbuilding attached to right, formerly a chair bodger's shed, is timber framed with weatherboard cladding and corrugated iron roof. This part has board door and 3-light casement to right, and left bay rebuilt in C20 brick. Interior: fireplace is dated W1776 on lintel to original left bay; old board doors in right bays; tall queen strut trusses in shed (B1).
