Description

GRADE II. HOUSE. CIRCA 1600 T-PLAN BUILDING, REBUILT C18-EARLY C19, WITH C20 EXTENSIONS AND ALTERATIONS. BRICK, THE FRONT PARTLY CHEQUERED WITH FIRST FLOOR BAND COURSES, THE REAR WING OF NARROWER BRIC K WITH BAND COURSES TO GABLE. OLD TILE ROOFS, CENTRAL BRICK CHIMNEY WITH SUNKEN PANEL. 2 STOREYS AND ATTIC, 2 ORIGINAL BAYS TO CENTRE FRONT. C20 3-LIGHT WOODEN CASEMENTS; SIMILAR 2-LIGHT WIDOW TO CENTRE OF FIRST FLOOR OVER C20 PORCH. LATE C19-C20 BRICK BAY TO RIGHT WITH FRENCH DOORS IN HIPPED PROJECTION: C20 WHITEWASHED RENDER AND WEATHERBOARD BAY TO LEFT; OTHER IRREGULAR EXTENSIONS TO REAR. INTERIOR: FRONT RANGE HAS SUBSTANTIAL STOP-CHAMFERED JOISTS, THE RIGHT BAY WITH FINELY MOULDED SPINE BEAM; FRAGMENT OF ORIGINAL TIMBER FRAME IN REAR RIGHT CORNER (B1).
