Description

Grade II. Pair of attached barns. Early C19. Timber frame and weatherboard, flint plinths, half-hipped old tile roofs. L-plan. W. barn has 4 bays with off-centre gabled projecting cart entry, and trusses with braced tie beams and small raking queen posts. N.W. barn is of 8 bays with gabled projecting cart entries in penultimate bays, large C20 tractor shed projecting between, and lean-to to right. Curved principal trusses with braced tie beams. Small extension at W. end with rear wall of concrete blocks. Included for group value (B1).
