Description
Grade II. House and barns. House dated ID.1767 on brick but front rebuilt c.1962. Brick with off-set eaves and old tile roof, half-hipped to right. Rebuilt brick chimney between right bays, another chimney to left. T-plan. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays. Horizontal sliding sashes, those to ground floor with segmental heads. Board door with gabled timber porch between left bays. Attached to left end is an irregular T-plan range of barns, all timber-framed with weatherboard cladding. Bays adjacent to house, are part tiled and have tall queen struts, raking posts to lower purlins, and braced tie beams. Projecting bays are of later build with curved principal trusses. Rear bays are slightly lower with queen strut trusses and wavy braces to tie beams (B1).
