Description

Grade II. Barn. Dated 1736 on tie beam. Timber framed, part with weatherboard cladding, part covered and the whole roofed with corrugated iron. Brick plinth. 5 bays. Cart entry off-centre to right with gabled projection opposite. Extended one bay to right in link with C19 gabled flint and brick block with slate roof. Original barn has curved principal trusses with small raking struts to lower purlins, braced tie beams and diagonal wind-braces (B1).
