Description

MANY ROMAN COINS HAVE BEEN FOUND IN VICINITY OF BUCKINGHAM AT VARIOUS TIMES. 1 FOUND 1819 IN A MEADOW HAD ON REVERSE A FIGURE OF CERES WITH SICKLE & ON EACH SIDE OF FIGURE S.C. (SENATUS CONCILIO). THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A COIN OF ANTONINUS (B1).
