Description

Grade II. House. Dated IH 1702 on brick plaque to centre, altered C19. Chequer brick with vitreous headers, flint plinth, boarded wooden eaves, old tile roof and brick chimney to left. 2 storeys and attic, 2 bays. Partial first floor band course. Ground floor windows altered early C19 to 4-pane sashes with flat brick arches. First floor windows altered later C19 to 3-light wooden casements with single horizontal glazing bars, shaped heads to each light, and whitewashed board voussoirs. 2 hipped dormers with paired barred wooden casements re-inserted 1972. Central C20 half-glazed door in whitewashed render surround. Whitewashed brick and weatherboard lean-to set back to left; C20 lean-to conservatory to right; C19 whitewashed brick rear wing. Interior: roof has curved wind-braces and heavy purlins (B1).
