Description

Grade II. Public house. Late C16-C17. Timber frame with whitewashed brick infill, the ground floor mostly rebuilt in whitewashed brick, the right gable part rendered. Old tile roof, rebuilt brick chimney with grouped shafts between left bays. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Barred wooden windows: left bay has C20 window and C19-C20 canted bay window to ground floor, and paired casement above; centre bay and upper right bay have horizontal sliding sashes. Ground floor of right bay has former vehicle entry, now with upper part of doors barred and glazed. Door in C20 half-timbered gabled porch between left bays. Slight rectangular recess in panel above porch. Interior: said to have curved braces to framing (B1).
