NT150762. National Trust Archaeological Survey (B2).
English Heritage survey of buildings at Lodge Farm carried out in 2000. Sampling of timber frame of the barn for dendrochronology producing a felling date of 1564-5, suggesting that there was an existing manorial farm pre-dating the 17th century house (B3).
Barn mainly constructed of re-used timbers, but tie beams apeared primary and produced the felling date. See report (filed) for detail (B4).
