Description

Grade II. C16 timber-framed house of 2 bays and 1½ storeys. Modern left hand bay. Brick faced ground floor, brick infill to exposed framing upper floor, colourwashed. Old tile roof. Modern casements. Gabled 1st floor windows. C17 lateral stack at rear. Hipped roofed 1½ storey extension of c1980 on left. Two dormers at rear. Right hand bay formerly open to roof as open hall with smoke blackened roof timbers. Curved purlin braces. Interior has chamfered and stopped spine beams. Tension braces between posts and bressummers. RCHM I 100 MON.44 (B1).
