Description
Grade II. Probably C17, cased in brick in C18, with later alterations. Front elevation rendered and painted, north wall chequer brickwork and first floor band. Old tile roof, tall brick stack in centre. Two storeys, attic to north wing, gabled porch on right, 2-light casement to each floor on right, 3-light casement to ground and first floor on left (B1).
Timber framed hall and cross wing house dating from the 17th century. The plan of this earlier building remains, but subsequent alterations and remodelling during the Georgian period, along with substantial enlargement have slightly obscurrred the original plan. Architecturally, the timber-framed and brick refaced building is the most important aspect (B2).
