Description

LOWEST OF THE 3 KILNS FOUND IN 1953 WAS BUILT INTO A DUMP OF POTTERY DATABLE TO 1ST HALF OF C13. HOWEVER THE KILN THAT PRODUCED THIS POTTERY HAS NOT YET BEEN FOUND (B5).
BUT SEE B12: POTTERY OF THIS TYPE RECOVERED FROM THE 1953 EXCAVATIONS & ALSO IN 1978 (CASS 04394) ANALYSED.
