Description
Grade II. C16 or early C17, refaced early to mid C19, painted brick on left, roughcast on right. Old tile roof continuing over carriageway on east. Two gables, two storeys, central C18 4 fielded panel door with architrave and cornice hood, right hand oriel shop window on two brackets, glazing bars. First floor jettied above this with canted oriel window with pediment. 4 pane wide sash window in reveals with cambered head on left, and similar window to first floor. Exposed timber framing on east flank wall and a roof truss in the carriageway with curved braces to the tie beam. Two storey rear wing partly timber framed, part colour- washed brick, visible from Ward Place. (RCHM I p9 MON 39) (B1).
