Description
Grade II. Tall C18 front of chequered red and blue grey brickwork. 2 storeys. Early C19 oriel shop bay window with glazing bars, frieze and cornice continued as hood over half glazed door. 2 1st floor sash windows with glazing bars in reveals under cutter flat arches. Front conceals Cl7 timber framed structure with brick nogging, tiled roof (B1).
Negative watching brief carried out by Thames Valley Archaeological Services in January and February 2013 during groundworks for residential development to the rear of the listed building. Up to 0.72m of made ground was found to overly a possible buried soil layer 0.25m thick. See report for detail (B2).
