Description

Grade II. Well house. 1897. Oak framing and tiled roof. Art Nouveau detail and designed by Liberty and Co's craftsmen. Sexagonal plan with pyramid roof. Double gates to south and fixed gates between other posts. Winding machinery intact. On top rail of gates is inscription 'This well was built by public subscription in commeration of Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee, Anno Domini MD CCCXCVII'. Gate has heavy iron hinges and inscribed 'The Lee Common Jubilee Well' (B1).
