Description

Grade II. Cottages, C17, chequer brick. C19 mansard tile and slate roof with three gabled dormers, dentil brick eaves. 2 storeys, first floor band with cavetto moulding, 3 double-hung sashes in reveals with cambered heads, flat topped brick arches. C19 to first floor. Plain shutters to ground floor. Return elevation on left has chimney stack with diaper pattern brickwork and round arched panel, raised brick imposts and key. History: the residence of D.H. Lawrence from August 1914 to January 1915 (B1).
