Description

Grade II+. 1799 by James Wyatt. Erected by order of the then owner of Stoke Park, John Penn, grandson of William Penn. Large stone pedestal with panels inscribed with verses from Gray's 'Elegy'. On it a sarcaphagus with strigillated side panels (B1).
