RCHM SAY RECTANGULAR STRUCTURE IS A HOMESTEAD MOAT (B2).
OTHER SOURCES SAY IT IS THE SITE OF A HERMITAGE (B1,B3).

A medieval moat is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located in a field adjacent Plough Farm and centred at SP 65156 30681, a rectilinear moat ditch up to 7 metres wide encloses a rectangular platform about 36 x 29 metres. From the NE, SW and SE corners, linear ditches extend beyond the moat between 17 and 55 metres (4-5).
