Description

Grade II. C19. Stucco, Welsh slates. 2 storeys, vermiculated 1st floor band. 3 sashes under vermiculated lintels. Door and oblong fanlight, cornice on consoles. All listed buildings in Temple Square form a group (B1).
Number 4 can be seen to have been extended twice in the 20th century. Building has three 1 over 1 timber sash windows on each floor. A timber door with a rectangular light under a bracketed hood and the window to the left of it offset to the east. The vermiculated plat band and arches over the windows as well as the stained glass in the upper sash of the easternmost window alleviate the slightly imbalanced appearance the elevation. There is a 2-storey bay window in the west elevation. The first floor windows are similar to those in the front elevation, with the exception that they have additional shaped timbers set to the frame. The ground floor windows all have a rectangular light above the sash and simple frames (B2).
