Description
Grade II. Dark Lantern Passage elevation has C18 late or C19 early refronting to timber frame building, 2 storeys and attic, painted brick, projecting plinth, band at 1st floor level, tile roof. 2 3-light C19 casement windows on 1st floor. Door to left-hand on ground floor under modern wood enclosed porch, flanked by 2 narrow windows. Wide triple sash window to left-hand. Elevation to passage separating the building from No 4 Market Street C16-17 timber framed. Gable end with painted brick infilling, ground floor refaced. 1 2-light casement window in attic. C18 casements. 1 3-light casement window on 1st floor, C19 casements. C16-17-18 work at back irregular windows and C17 chimney stacks. Some C17 panelling in interior. See RCHM Bucks. S.
