Description

Grade II. (Called 'The Old Bank House, 1765'). Face projects slightly in front of No 7 but similar treatment, 1 three-light sash window on upper floors, (glazing bars removed). Late C19 shop on ground floor. Nos 5 to 9 (odd) and The Kings Head Hotel form a group (B1).
Impact assessment by KDK Archaeology concluded that no. 9 retains little fabric pre-dating the late 18th or early 19th century, with the rear extension, façade and internal reconfiguration all dating from between the mid 19th and early 20th century. See report for detail (B2).
