Description
Grade II. Including No 4 Kingsbury. 1853. Ashlar ground floor, ashlar dressings and quoins to upper floors, Welsh slate roof. Italianate style with ground floor rustication and arched windows, first floor aedicule windows with segmental pediments to most windows, second floor architrave window surrounds. Floor band, modillion cornice. Canted rusticated angle to Market Square with main entrance. Further entrance with cornice on consoles to north projecting wing (B1).
Lloyd Bank of 1853, classical to Italianate with a distinctive chamfered corner of channelled rustication and segmental pediments on consoles to all the first-floor windows. This angled façade was lengthened and broken by a N extension, only slightly differently detailed, in 1922 (B2).
