Description
Grade II+. C18 front. Two storeys and attic, with cellar. Vitreous brick with red dressings and window surrounds. Moulded brick eaves cornice. Old tile roof. Two-light gabled dormer casements. Five windows on first floor plus panel to right hand of centre and over door, with plate dated 1739. Five windows on ground floor, segmental headed. All windows with moulded frames and fluted keystones. Eight-panel door in panelled reveal with architrave, third bay from right hand, in doorcase of engaged Doric columns, entablature and pediment, approached by three stone steps. Timber framed gable end. Interior shows heavy moulded ceiling beams, square stops and shaped wall post, and roof beams, all C16. Part of stairs original. (See RCHM). Lower wing on left with wide ground floor carriageway, first floor door to loft (B1).
