Description

Grade II. Shop and dwelling. Early C19 with older origins, altered C20. Red brick in Flemish bond with some flared headers, slate roof and brick end stacks. 2-unit plan. 3-storey, 2-window range. C20 doors and shop windows to ground floor under continuous C20 fascia. 16-pane sash windows to 1st and 2nd floors with flat-arched heads. Dentilled brick eaves (B2).
De-listed 3rd December 2018, for the following reasons: - there has been a notable loss of historic fabric to the building’s external envelope; - the cumulative effect of a number of alterations has been to remove evidence of the original plan form; - key internal fixtures, notably the staircase and fireplaces, are modern replacements; - of the exposed timbers, only a small percentage would appear to be historic fabric, and a number show evidence of being reused (B3).
