Description
Grade II. House, formerly inn. Late C18, with C20 alterations. Red brick in Flemish bond, painted, with slate roof and brick end stacks. 1-unit plan. 3-storey, 2-window range. C20 door to right approached by 3 stone steps, with moulded wood surround and flat-arched head. Wide, shallow canted bay window to left of door, with 12-pane sash to front, 8-pane sashes to sides. Continuous straight hood with fascia over bay and door. 12-pane sash windows to 1st floor with flat-arched heads. 9-pane sashes to 2nd floor. Small cellar window to left of steps partly overhung by right side of bay window which is supported on timber beam. Storey bands and cogged brick eaves. INTERIOR: chamfered spine beams and winder stair from cellar to attic (B2).
