Description

Grade II. House, now offices. Mid C18, altered C19 and C20. Red brick in Flemish bond with some flared headers, plain-tile roof and brick end stacks. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Central 4-panel door approached by 3 stone steps. Door has overlight, panelled reveals, reeded wood surround with paterae to top corners and straight hood. Door is flanked by canted bay windows on brick bases, that to left incorporating 2-light cellar window. Bays have 12-pane sashes to front, moulded cornices and flat roofs. 12-pane sash windows to 1st floor with wood lintels either side of blank central window with cambered arched head. Parts of heads of similar windows, now blocked, survive to far left at basement, ground- and 1st-floor levels. Plinth, storey band and double wave-moulded brick eaves. 2 flat-roofed roof dormer windows and brick-coped gable to right. INTERIOR: roof has 1 tier of purlins, closely spaced rafters and no principals (B2).
