Description

Grade II. Former farmhouse. C17, altered C19 and C20. Timber-framed with painted brick infill, plain-tile roof, brick ridge stack. 2-unit lobby entry plan. One storey and attic; 2-window range. C20 plank door to right of centre, small 2-light C20 casement window to ground floor far right and 3-light leaded casement to ground floor left. 2 hipped dormer windows. Rendered limestone rubble plinth, small panel framing, 10 panels long and 2 panels high with struts from end posts to wall-plate and tie beams. Stack has pair of square brick flues set together. 2-storey rendered brick extension to left, set back, C19 much altered C20. INTERIOR: open fireplaces set back-to-back, one chamfered bressumer, other partly blocked. Formerly thatched (B1).


(SP680305) Lenborough Farm [NAT] (B2).
Lenborough Farm is a C17th two-storeyed building built of stone, and heightened with brick. The roof is covered with slate. The plan was originally L-shaped, the wings projecting to the North and East, but is now rectangular, a modern addition having been built in the angle between the wings. Condition - Good (B3).
