Description
Grade II. Pair of cottages, formerly one. Late C17/early C18, altered C19 and C20. Coursed limestone rubble, plain-tile roof and brick ridge stack. 1-unit plans. 2-storey, 3-window range. C20 door to far right with wood lintel and applied Gothic arch to surround with ornamental pierced spandrels. A bay window to ground floor right of centre, and 2-light casement windows to ground floor left of centre and to 1st floor, all with wood lintels. Cogged brick eaves. Central gabled roof dormer window. INTERIOR: chamfered spine beam to No.32. Manders Garden was a row of 4 cottages to rear of No.32, now demolished, and formerly approached by passage door to far left. Entrance to No.1 Manders Garden is in passage (B1).
