Description

Grade II. House, formerly 2 cottages. Mid C18, with possible older origins, altered C19 and C20. Coursed squared limestone and red brick, C20 plain-tile roof, brick ridge and end stacks. Two 2-unit plans; 2-storey, 4-window range. Roadside elevation has C20 door to right of centre with wood lintel, a C19 bay window to right with paired sash windows to front and narrow sashes to sides, otherwise 12-pane sashes to ground floor and 12- and 16-pane sashes to 1st floors with wood lintels. Portion to left of centre was formerly a separate cottage with entrance front facing yard to rear. On this side front and end wall of red brick in Flemish bond with central 9-panel door with reeded wood surround, panelled overdoor and straight hood on shaped brackets. Door is flanked by canted bay windows; blank window to 1st floor above door flanked by 12-pane sashes with wood lintels. The other half is rendered to rear and has irregular glazing of sash and casement windows and small, square windows to ground and 1st floor centre. Each half has a flat-roofed roof dormer to rear. INTERIOR noted as having spine beams (B1).
