Description

Grade II. House. C16-early C17, altered late C17-early C18. Right bay has timber frame with whitewashed thin brick infill and blackened brick plinth. Left bay is of whitewashed thin brick with first floor band course. Old tile roof, central square chimney of thin brick with panelled sides and rendered base; 2 storeys and attic, 2 bays. C20 3-light leaded casements, that to ground floor of left bay in altered opening with segmental head. Central door in C16-C17 ovolo moulded frame with C20 gabled hood. Left gable shows shaped jowls of main posts and has slight central projection with paired C20 leaded casements to all floors. C20 lean-to to rear. RCHM I p.265 Mon. 16 (B1).
