Description

Grade II. Small house. C17-early C18, altered C19 and C20. Timber frame with plastered infill to rear, front rebuilt C19 in brick, now colourwashed. Half-hipped thatch roof, flanking brick chimneys, that to right external, that to left rebuilt C20. 1½ storeys, 2 bays. 3 C20 paired wooden casements with segmental heads to ground floor, another in thatch to left, single light in thatch to right. C20 door with segmental head between right windows. C20 bay to left, rendered and colourwashed, with tiled roof and main door in thatched porch. Interior: ground floor left room has stop-chamfered spine beam and cambered fireplace lintel, also chamfered; fireplace to right altered, the stack masking a C17 3-light upper window with diamond mullions; cambered collar beams on queen strut trusses; diagonal wind-braces (B1).
