Grade II. House, now 2 dwellings. C16-C17, the 2 left bays refaced c.1770-80, the right bay slightly later. Timber framing with heavy studs and diagonal braces is exposed inside cross wing to right, the right side with herringbone brick infill. Refaced in vitreous header brick with red brick quoins, vertical strips, window surrounds, first floor band course and dentil eaves. Left bays have paler red brick dressings and some rubble stone in plinth. Right bay has thin brick plinth and dentil cornice below attic window. Old tile roof, chimney with grouped shafts of thin brick, off-set head and 'V' nib between right bays; later brick chimney to left. L-plan. 2 storeys, attic and cellar, 3 bays. 3-light leaded casements, mostly C20 but that to first floor left old. Ground floor left window replaced by C20 metal casement. Gabled bay to right has cellar opening, tilting window to attic, and segmental heads to all openings. Other windows have gauged brick heads. C18 6-panel door between left bays has architrave frame and flat wooden hood on brackets. Interior of cross wing; fireplace of thin brick with chamfered 4-centred arch; heavy stop-chamfered cross beams, the spine with ends on moulded brackets; chamfered doorframes to cellar and main stairs; good winder staircase.
