Description

Grade II. Pair of houses. C16, altered C17, mid C18 and C20. Some heavy timber-framing exposed inside, the right side with herringbone brick infill, the front originally jettied. No.15 refaced C17 with thin brick in English bond, some rubble stone in plinth. Old tile roof, brick chimney to left. 1½ storeys, 1 bay. Ground floor has barred wooden casements: 3-light to left, 2-light to right in blocked doorway, both with segmental heads. Small single light to left. 2 paired casements to first floor in weatherboard surround below single eyebrow of roof. Entry to rear. No. 17 refaced mid C18 in vitreous brick with red dressings, moulded plinth, first floor band course and eaves. Hipped old tile roof with brick chimney to rear. 2 storeys, one bay. Late C19 shop-front with 2 small renewed 4-pane sashes above (B1).
