Description
Grade II. Church. Circa 1839. Pale red and vitreous chequer brick, stone coped gable with ball finials to front, slate roof. Gable to street has 2 tall semi-circular arched windows with cast iron glazing bars and gauged brick arches. Central C20 rendered porch, gabled with double doors. N.W. end rebuilt C20 after bomb damage. Interior has sloping S.E. gallery with panelled front on 2 slender fluted Doric shafts. Wood-grained dado panelling and similar reading desk with twisted balusters and shaped panelling behind. Seating in gallery is also original but other pews are later C19 (B1).
CONGREGATIONAL. Tall gabled front with ball finials, 1839 (B2).
