Description

Grade II. House. C17, with traces of earlier building, remodelled late C19-C20. Left gable has timber frame with fragments of cruck truss, brick infill and rubble stone plinth. Front rebuilt in brick, rear rendered and whitewashed. Tiled roof, hipped to right over C20 extension. Brick chimney to original right gable, C20 chimney to left. 2 storeys, 2 original bays. 3-light barred wooden casements, those to ground floor with cambered heads. Centre has similar 2-light casement in blocked doorway. Extension to right consists of one narrow bay with smaller 2-light casement over door in C20 doorcase with flat hood. C20 single storey extension to rear, very flat 4-centred arch, finely carved spandrels and roll-moulding above, probably not in original position (B1).
