FRAGMENTS OF MOAT REMAIN TO N, TURNING S ON BOTH SIDES. MOAT RECORDED MORE FULLY ON C19 MAPS, BUT S ARM MISSING EXCEPT FOR TURN ON E SIDE (B3-7,B10,B12,B14).
1649 PARL SURVEY: NO MOAT ON S SIDE (B10).
SECTION THROUGH MOAT SHOWS FILLED-IN IN C19 (B19).
PROBABLE THAT MOAT PRE-DATED ABBEY: BURNHAM MANOR? (B22).
